Artsee Proudly Presents: Chocolate Cortés, A Family Tradition
Installation on View March 1st through
April 15th
Chocolate Cortés is happy to collaborate with Artsee
Eyewear to launch the next 80
years of our family company. In 1929, my great-grandfather don
Pedro Cortés Forteza founded Chocolate Cortés. A renaissance man:
artist, entrepreneur, dandy, chef, family man, he applied his
creative prowess to foster a legacy that endures today. From the
sweet chocolate recipe he created that has warmed thehearts of many
before me, to the brand logo he designed that carries our family
name, his vision and talent are an overwhelming source of humility
and inspiration. Following the path of my great-grandfather,
grandfather, father, and recently brothers, I only hope that today,
my brothers and I can carry our company to the next level
in its journey. This is why we chose Artsee to present the redesign
of our iconic Chocola te Cortés
bar.
Artsee and Chocolate Cortés share an origin
and a philosophy: from Puerto Rico to New York City, we
work hard every day to share with the world our passions with
the highest standards of quality and love. Continuing Chocolate
Cortés and Artsee's patronage of the arts, we have invited Puerto
Rican artist Arturo Guillermo Cordova to feature his unique
stackable mug designs, all one of a kind pieces: the perfect way to
enjoy a delicious cup of real hot chocolate! The young and talented
stylist Danny Kopel, also from Puerto Rico, has designed the
Chocolate Cortés installation at Artsee, featuring a bit of the
Chocolate Cortés history.
We invite you to come join the Cortés family
at Artsee Eyewear on March 18th, 2010 7
to 9pm, for a cup of real hot Chocolate Cortés whilst browsing
through the beautiful eyewear and artwork.
Reception sponsored by Rums of Puerto
Rico.
